Fault finding is the job, not an extra
Most of an electrical repair is working out what is actually wrong. Plenty of quotes hide that inside an hourly rate, which means the longer it takes the more you pay. We do not work that way. You know what the fault finding costs before we start, and once we know what the fault is, you get a fixed price for the fix before we touch it.

Are you a real licensed electrician?
Yes. Ethan Wilcox holds Queensland Electrical Contractor Licence 1512150, and Jimmy Evans holds Licence 1510523. EWJ Electrical is veteran owned and fully insured, and handles compliance, switchboards, EV chargers and general repairs.
Can you come out for an emergency tonight?
Call us and we will tell you straight away. We work seven days and we get to you the same day where we can. If there is a burning smell, heat around a power point or exposed wiring, switch it off at the board first, then call.
How much does a callout cost?
We quote before we start, not after. You will know what the attendance and fault finding costs while you are still on the phone, and the repair itself is quoted as a fixed price once we know what the fault is.
Do you repair appliances?
No. We work on the wiring, the circuits, the switchboard and anything fixed to the house. If the fault turns out to be inside an appliance we will tell you, so you are not paying us to diagnose something a service agent should handle.
