Same standard applies to everything else we do. Small jobs are how we find the bigger ones, so if the board will not carry what you are adding, we will tell you and quote a switchboard upgrade rather than doing it badly.

Plenty of electricians will not quote a single ceiling fan, or they price it high enough that you give up. That is why so many Brisbane homes have a fan on the deck running off an extension lead and a downlight that has been out for two years.

Quick answers to what most people ask before they book a small job.
Are you a real licensed electrician?
Yes. Ethan Wilcox holds Queensland Electrical Contractor Licence 1512150, and Jimmy Evans holds Licence 1510523. EWJ Electrical is veteran owned and fully insured, and handles compliance, switchboards, EV chargers and general repairs.
Will you come out for one small job?
Yes. There is no minimum job size and no call-out fee. If you have a few things on the list, tell us all of them and we will price the lot, because most of the cost of a small job is getting there in the first place.
Can you install a ceiling fan where there has never been one?
Usually. It depends what is above the ceiling and whether there is a switch we can work with. Send us a photo of the room and the switch plate and we will tell you before we come out, not after.
Can you swap my halogen downlights for LED?
Yes, and it is one of the better value jobs going. Old halogens run hot, use a lot of power and are a genuine fire risk sitting in an insulated roof. We change the fittings rather than just the globes, so you get the efficiency and the safety.
