Electrician Stafford
Licensed electricians working Stafford and the streets around Stafford City. Ceiling fans, safety switches and switchboard upgrades for post-war homes, priced before we start.
The three jobs Stafford homes keep needing
Stafford is lowset brick and timber from the fifties to the seventies, and a lot of it is still on the original board. Ceiling fans in rooms never wired for one, safety switches on circuits that have gone fifty years without any, and boards out of physical room. Those three cover most of what we do here.

Post-war houses on their original boards
Stafford is post-war: lowset brick and timber, most of it built between the 1950s and the 1970s, and a lot of it still running on the board it was built with. Three jobs come up here over and over. Ceiling fans in bedrooms that were never wired for one. Safety switches added to power and lighting circuits that have gone fifty years without any. And smoke alarm compliance, usually alongside boards that have simply run out of physical room because someone added a split system, then a second oven, then a pool pump.
None of those are complicated on their own. What makes them worth doing together is that they all touch the same switchboard, and doing them in one visit costs considerably less than three separate call-outs across a year. Stafford is one of the suburbs we cover, on the western edge of our service area.

Recent work on post-war homes
Every photo here is our own work, not a stock library. Fans, safety switches and boards part way through an upgrade. Most Stafford jobs look like these, which is to say ordinary work done properly rather than anything dramatic.

Common Stafford questions
The three we hear most, usually from someone who has just tried to add one more thing to an old board.
Can you put a ceiling fan where there’s only a light?
Usually yes. Two things decide it: whether the ceiling structure above can carry a fan’s weight and movement, and how you want it switched. A separate fan switch means running an extra cable, while a remote or a combination unit doesn’t. We’ll look before quoting rather than guessing from the ground.
My house is from the sixties. Does it need a whole new switchboard?
Not necessarily. If the board has spare width and the wiring behind it is sound, safety switches can go into the existing board. Many Stafford boards from that era don’t have the room once you add RCBOs, and that’s when a new board makes sense, but it’s a look-first answer, not a phone answer.
Is Stafford inside your service area?
Yes, it’s the western edge of it. We book Stafford work in rather than treating it as a same-day call-out, so give us a bit more notice than you would in Albion.
